Under stairs bookcase & TV cabinet

Designing a project is one of the most exciting parts of the process as it sets everything in motion. Under the stairs had the perfect space for some bookcases with cabinets below for some hidden storage. The bookcase is angled to follow the stairs, as does the lighting creating that seamless feel. You’d almost think the cabinets were always there!

In each cabinet below, there is an adjustable shelf and sockets where needed. The doors on the right are angled and the one right at the end is push to open to avoid putting the handle in a space where it would feel odd.

We extended out the existing chimney breast to accomodate this TV frame we made and the electric fire we fitted. The TV frame has some ducting behind the TV out into the chimney breast and connects to the cabinet on the right which we also made. It’s shallower than the chimney breast and houses everything TV related!

Sprayed in Coat Soft Play, a sandy off-white with an oak veneer worktop and Hendel & Hendel Matte Black Belgravia knobs.

We love how it all turned out, it has really made a difference in the space.
