Fitted wardrobes with curved shakers and fluted door detail

Lancaster

This project is a lovely bedroom for a child so there are many playful elements in the room.

For every project, we design exactly what you’re after and make sure you’re happy with the designs, measurements and the overall concept and it’s always nice to look at the designs in comparison to what we’ve created in our workshop and have installed in your home. Take a closer look at how it works here.

We love this run of wardrobes! We’ve gone floor to ceiling with tall doors that are split, with a curved shaker on top, moulding to follow the curve around and then a fluted detail on the lower part of the doors. It’s always so lovely adding different textures for different elements of interest.

The wardrobe in sprayed in Little Greene Boringdon Green, a grey green and the internals are an oak effect in Egger, Natural Bardolino. The handles are Hendel & Hendel Bailgait T-bar knobs and the hanging rails are rectangular in a brown shade.

Internally there is a mix of hanging, drawers and shelves. The first cabinet on the left is a single cabinet, perfect for long hanging. Next is a double cabinet with angled shoe shelves below and hanging above. Next is a double cabinet with double hanging and the final cabinet is a double cabinet with four drawers below and hanging above. There is also a shelf along the top of the wardrobes. There is lighting on sensors so when the doors open, the lights switch on automatically. It’s also a lovely feature to add and a bonus to be able to see everything clearly inside the cabinets.

Other projects within this room include this elevated play area with oak steps. The steps are drawers, perfect for extra hidden storage. We have oak cladding, oak slats and the all important tree house feel with the shutters, the scalloped roof and the T&G detail on the house front. It’s a really special place and sits opposite the wardrobes.

In another corner of the room, we made this mega chunky curved desk. Take a closer look here.
