Box Room Home Office

Widnes, Cheshire

Making the most of a box room can be tricky, especially with a large bay window sill.

We’ve really eked out as much space as possible!

We have an oak desk along the full width of the wall with a set of three drawers on the left. For the handles, Hendel & Hendel Barrington cup handles. On the right side of the drawers we have a cable flap, sprayed to match the cabinet and bring the internet cable through. An oak laptop stand, may as well match the new set up! And the window sill has been cladded with oak, tying everything in too.

Above the desk, we made some floating cabinets across the full width of the wall with a pop of yellow in the open shelf and dimmable lighting, lighting the workspace up as well as all the trinkets that will go onto the top shelf.

On the right, the cabinet Ls into the space across the wall for extra storage with adjustable shelves below and a socket on the side, sprayed to match the cabinet again. The cabinets all have Hendel & Hendel Barrington knobs and are sprayed in Little Greene Livid, a moody blue-grey green.

On the left of that cabinet, joining the wall are two floating shelves with even more lighting sprayed in Little Greene Mister David, a deep yellow.

We love how the room has come together. Take a closer look here.
